100 day countdown (starting at day 78 cause I'm a SUPER slacker)

Hello again! Long Time no blog, did you miss us? Well, Here we are at the hundred day final countdown and I'm going to abuse this blog to help me document what we have decided on certain aspects of the wedding, and to get all you readers to be excited for our wedding and/or get some feedback in the form of  ideas or suggestions.

At the beginning of all of this wedding planning, is the man actually deciding that he wants to spend two years to the rest of his life with girl. Luckily, mine does ;) . We perused many jewelry stores and even a couple antique stores trying to find what I really wanted and interestingly enough what he wanted to get me. I thought I had found "the one" at an antique store. It was a 1920's ring  it had a minors cut diamond, meaning its not very brilliant of a cut and the stone was yellowing, but it was an antique and that's what I told myself I always wanted. Zack wasn't sold on the idea of an old ring so he took me to one last jewelers. After sitting down with the sales person he went through the hellos and the how'd you meets he then had me start looking at rings. Quickly he got my style and that was that.

The interesting part, however, was when we learned about Diamonds. The Four Cs: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat-weight these four things have changed my decision making process forever. We had to decide what was more important the size of the stone, the shape of it, the color of the stone (closer to white vs closer to yellow), and then clarity which is how many imperfections are in the diamond. I had to decide what was most important to me. Pretty much a no duh right? Well I had never thought of anything from this angle and then i discovered that every decision is like choosing a Diamond.

I had to decide what was most important to me in my wedding, besides getting married to my best friend I came up with my list like this:
1) Photographer
2) Atmosphere - location and decor
3) Attire
4) Food

So then I went on my merry way to find my Photographer...............To be continued.
